FAQs
1. Can this apex locator provide accurate readings in wet canals?
Yes. The multi-frequency technology combined with DSP processing ensures accurate measurements even in the presence of blood, pulp tissue, or irrigating solutions.
2. What happens when the file reaches the apex?
The device emits a continuous high-frequency beep at the preset apical stop. “00” indicates the file has reached the apical foramen.
3. Can the apical stop be adjusted?
Yes. The apical stop can be preset within a range of 0.0 to 1.0 for customized working length control.
4. How does the device indicate proximity to the apex?
It provides visual indicator strips and audio alerts. Low-frequency intermittent beeps occur within 2 mm of the apical foramen, increasing in frequency as the file advances.
5. Does the device require manual calibration?
No. It performs automatic calibration within 0.5 seconds after powering on.
6. Is the sound alert adjustable?
Yes. The alarm volume can be set to Off, Low, Medium, or High.
